Inauguration of webmagazine Swaraj Today.in

  Address at the Launch of Swaraj Today Web magazine Dr. Siby K. Joseph presided over the launch of Web magazine Swaraj Today and addressed the participants online on October 25, 2024 .  Dr. K. Arvindakshan noted writer delivered the keynote address on the occasion. Dr. S. P. Udayakumar writer and anti-nuclear activist inaugurated the web magazine.  Shri Tushar Gandhi, great grandson of Mahatma Gandhi gave a special message.  The programme was organised by Gandhian Collective. Visit of Foreign delegates to Sevagram Ashram

  A group 24 foreign delegates from National Academy of Direct Taxes, Nagpur came to Sevagram Ashram    on 23rd October 2024.   They were participants of a course on "Taxation in E-Commerce Industry" organised by NADT from 14th-25th October 2024 in collaboration with The Ministry of External Affairs, under Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) programme.   On request from the Dy. Director (P&R), National Academy of Direct Taxes, Nagpur Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan arranged a guided visit to the different departments of the    ashram and heritage buildings. The group also visited the library and research centre premises of the ashram and Held discussions with Dr. Siby K. Joseph, Director of the Centre about the historical significance of ashram and contemporary relevance of Gandhi. First Death Anniversary of Shri Pradeep Khelurkar

   Tributes to Shri Pradeep Khelurkar On the occasion of the first death anniversary of Shri Pradeep Khelurkar,  former Secretary of Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan, Ashram community paid tributes to him by  participating in   the Sarva Dharma Prarthana organised in front of Kishore Niwas of the Ashram on October 23, 2024. They also watered the Smriti Vriksh and offered two minutes of silence in the loving memory of the departed soul. Shri Sheikh Hussain,  Trustee of the Ashram Pratishthan and  the Managing Trustee of Sarva Seva Sangh and Dr. Shivcharan Singh Thakur  were also present on the occasion.

 Fr. Thomas Pulikkan CMI Spiritual Director, Darsana Institute of Philosophy, Sawangi (Meghe), Wardha along with   Fr. Francis Vallapura, who edited the work St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara: A Milestone in the History of Eclogue came to ashram on October 21, 2024.   They   also visited the library and Research Centre of the Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan. Dr. Siby K. Joseph briefed them about the activities of the Centre.

Visit of Gopinath Muthukad to Sevagram Ashram

    Shri Gopinath Muthukad renowned     magician and recipient of Merlin Award for Magicians and his team members     as a part of “Inclusive India ”awareness campaign aimed to promote social inclusion of persons with disabilities, covering over 22,000 kilometres and 40 locations from Kanyakumari to Kashmir visited Sevagram Ashram on October 14, 2024. It was organised by the   Different Art Centre, in partnership with the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. Shri Muthukad   a motivational speaker Celebrity UNICEF Supporter   recipient  Kerala Sree Award visited Sevagram after a gap of twenty two   years. Joseph       At the outset I appreciate Deva Matha College, Kuravilangad, ADARRT Pala and Pala Gandhi Centre in collaborating with Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan in the organization of Seminar on Relevance of Gandhian Thought. Deva Matha College, Kuravilangad was founded in 1964. It was the result of the work of great visionaries especially H.E.Mar Sebastian Vayalil, the then Bishop of the Diocese of Palai and Rev. Fr. There are some very rare gramophone records in this film that throw light on various facets of Gandhi. Understanding Gandhi through the music he loved is a fascinating experience.
