  Nai Talim and its symbiotic relationship with 'Work in Education' within the NCF 2005   A group of students from the Centre for Excellence in Teacher Education at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai as a part of academic pursuit in the History of Education course, guided by Dr. Arindam Bose came to Sevagram Ashram  on 16 and 17 September, 2023  It was a part of  the  group assignment, conceived to foster historical insights  from those who worked   in the domain of Nai Talim and its symbiotic relationship with 'Work in Education' within the NCF 2005. The team consisted  of  Ms. Mallika Joshi,  Mr. Kishor Bethekar, and  Mr. Ritika Hazrati, all students of CETE. They reached the Ashram on 16 th  morning and visited Anand Niketan School of Nai Talim Samity and experienced the application of Nai Talim principles in the school curriculum. Regional Level Dialogue of Women Women for a better country and better world Gandhi  Peace Foundation, New Delhi  Delhi, Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan, Vidarbha Bhoodan Gramdan Sahyog Samiti and Rashtriya Yuva Sangathan   jointly organized a  regional level two-day women's conference at the   premises of Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan on September 9-10 .  More than 100 women from 12 districts of Maharashtra as well as Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh were present for this programme.  The programme was inaugurated by Ashaben  Bothra, President of Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan at   the Seminar Hall of Yatri Niwas.  Prerna Desai, National Coordinator of Rashtriya Yuva Sanghatan was present on the occasion.  The programme  started with Sarvadharma Prarthana.      Ashaben  Bothra in her  inaugural speech said that today in modern times women are relying on intelligence to make their mark in various fields.  Women  are not secure   in this country,  the incident of Manipur proved this again.  She rai

Visit of Scholars and Academics A group of scholars and academics from University of Jaffna, South Eastern University of Srilanka, University of Calicut, Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Mothihari visited the Library and Research Centre of the ashram September 9, 2023 and held discussions with Dr. Siby K. Joseph. The group included dean, senior professors, heads of departments and research scholars.

    Permanent Exhibition of Portraits of Mahatma Gandhi   Photo Credit: Akash Singh Thakur  Susheel Kumar Gotla, an artist from Hyderabad through his canvas portrayed ten paintings of Mahatma Gandhi depicting different moods in an effort to disseminate Gandhi through the medium of art. He thought the right place to show case his art work is the newly established Library and Research Centre for Gandhian Studies of Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan,Wardha   which organizes various course of studies and host national and international events.   His association with the Sevagram Ashram started when he applied for a scholarship to do an International fellowship program on Peace and Nonviolence organized by Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan Wardha in association with MGM University Aurangabad, Sabarmati Ashram Ahmedabad and Gujarat Vidyapith.  Demolition of Gandhian heritage at Varanasi Louis Campana, awarded with the 2008 Jamnalal Bajaj Prize for the promotion of Gandhian values outside India and as a member of the Ark of Lanza del Vasto (France), on behalf of Gandhi International (France), of which he is the founding president, wishes to protest strongly against the illegal eviction of the Sarva Seva Sangh from its premises in Varanasi on 22 July 2023 and the subsequent demolition of its heritage buildings on 12 August 2023. These acts of violence were apparently carried out without any court order and in total disregard of the democratic principles that prevail in India, which claims to be the world's largest democracy.
