Inauguration of Gandhi King Online Course

 




Commencement of Online Course Gandhi and King:
Soul Force and Social Change

The  online course, "Gandhi and King : Soul Force and Social Change," commenced on January 30, 2025, marking the beginning of a 10-week journey into the world of peace studies, nonviolence, and social change. This course was offered in collaboration with the Peace Institute, Germany and the Library and Research Centre for Gandhian Studies of Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan, Wardha, India.

The inaugural session, led by the chief instructor  Prof.Michael Sonnleitner,  began at 8:30pm IST, with participants from around the world joining in. The session set the tone for the course, introducing the core concepts of peace studies, nonviolence, and social change  to be dealt with in the course of the course.The program started with sharing from Dr.Siby K Joseph about the activities  organized by Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan on the ocassion of 30 January 2025 and he expressed his happiness to be part of this learning journey. 




The online platform facilitated active participation sharing   sharing their  background and perspectives. The diverse group of participants, hailing from various countries and backgrounds, brought unique insights and experiences to the table.

The commencement of the  course marked an exciting beginning to a journey of discovery and exploration. With a diverse group of participants and an experienced instructor, this course promises to be a enriching and thought-provoking experience.

  False Social Media Propaganda against Gandhi : A Factual Analysis    Siby K. Joseph     A false propaganda against Gandhi is gaining momentum through social media in connection with the allowance for the upkeep of Gandhi as a State Prisoner in 1930 by the British Government. Workshop sessions on Gandhi and Community Living

Workshop on Community  Living   and   Gandhi’s vision of Ashram On  18 th of July 2024 two workshop sessions were organized on  the following themes. The first one was Gandhi and experiments in Community Living and second one was his vision of an ashram .It was held    at the premises of Library and Research Centre of Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan, Wardha. The workshop sessions were guided by Dr. Siby K. Joseph, Director of the Centre. It was conducted for a small group of enthusiastic young fellows from different parts of the country with varied interest and expertise . They are connected to Youth Alliance, New Delhi and Ritambhara, Kotagiri. The programme started with a brief introduction of participants. It was followed by a presentation of Dr. Siby K.
