 Jain AcharyaShri Praveen Rishji MaharajUpadhyay , a Jain monk  visited the Sevagram ashram on January 3, 2023.  He is great authority on Jainism and delivering lectures on various aspects from a jain perspective. He was on a visit to Wardha  and was staying in the  Nai talim premises.  During the visit to the ashram he expressed his desire to visit  Library and Research Centre premises of the ashram. In the afternoon  he visited  the Library and Research Centre. Dr. Siby K. Joseph Director of the Centre  welcomed and explained the activities of the centre. Later  Jain  Acharya  saw the  books in  the various sections of the Library.  He saw every part of the centre and showed keen interest in the activities  Sevagrm ashram is undertaking through the centre.

Cycle Yatra against the Culture of Greed

Joseph honouring the cyclists at Seminar hall of Library and Research Centre of Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan  The  cycle   journey   which  was flagged off from Bodhi Centre,  Alathur, Palakkad district of Kerala on July 9, 2023   reached  Sevagram on July 24, 2023 afternoon.   The final destination is Srinagar. They ride  more than 100 kms per day. It took almost fifteen days to  reach Sevagram .The slogans of the cycle ride  clearly depicts the very purpose of the  journey: Lesser Carbon …Greener the world, Cycle to Work, Save India.
