 International Dialogue on Gaza Now and Nonviolence Thinking

As a part of International Online Fellowship Program on Nonviolence & Peace -II (IFPNP-II )Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan Wardha, MS, India in association with Gandhi International,  France ,Academic University College for Non-violence and Human Rights- AUNOHR, Lebanon MGM University, Chh. Sambhajinagar,Aurangabad, MS, India organized an  International Dialogue on  Gaza Now  and Nonviolence   Thinking  on December 22, 2023 Dr. Ogarit   Younan, Founder, Academic University College for Non-violence and Human Rights- AUNOHR, Lebanon was the keynote speaker. Dr, Ogarit Younan  wrote many   reflective texts from  the very first week of the war on Gaza.  Due to her ill heath it was presented by Mr.  Mazen Abou Hamdan ,a Chevening Scholar  and an expert in good governance, peace-building, and civic engagement.  This presentation was highly appreciated by the fellows and others present in the session. Dr. Siby K. Joseph  chaired the session.

  False Social Media Propaganda against Gandhi : A Factual Analysis    Siby K. Joseph     A false propaganda against Gandhi is gaining momentum through social media in connection with the allowance for the upkeep of Gandhi as a State Prisoner in 1930 by the British Government. Usually this type of propaganda coincides with Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday or martyrdom.  I received   a WhatsApp message a couple of days back from a person associated with a Gandhian organization for quite a long time.  I noticed that this message was forwarded many times.  It is as follows: “Finally, that letter was found in national records. In 1930, MK Gandhi was getting ₹100 per month from the British for personal expenses. At that time, the market price of 10 grams of gold was ₹18. Workshop sessions on Gandhi and Community Living

Workshop on Community  Living   and   Gandhi’s vision of Ashram On  18 th of July 2024 two workshop sessions were organized on  the following themes. The first one was Gandhi and experiments in Community Living and second one was his vision of an ashram .It was held    at the premises of Library and Research Centre of Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan, Wardha. The workshop sessions were guided by Dr. Siby K. Joseph, Director of the Centre. It was conducted for a small group of enthusiastic young fellows from different parts of the country with varied interest and expertise . They are connected to Youth Alliance, New Delhi and Ritambhara, Kotagiri. The programme started with a brief introduction of participants. It was followed by a presentation of Dr. Siby K.
