Tributes of  Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan Wardha

Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan paid its loving tributes to Shri Pradeep Khelurkar . A condolence meeting was organized Seminar Hall of Yatri Niwas to  pay respect to the departed soul on October 27, 2023.  Smt. Ashaben Bothra President of  Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan, Wardha presided over the condolence meeting. In her address,  she  shed  light on the  unique personality whose  accidental death was not only a great loss to the Sevagram Ashram but also to Gandhian fraternity at large. She briefly narrated her reminiscences  with him . The heads  of various departments of the Ashram also  paid  their loving respect to him and everyone  was in tears while talking about him. The  heads and representatives various Gandhian and constructive in and around Wardha also joined the sevagram fraternity in expressing their their grief . There were activists and representatives of constructive organizations  from nearby districts also . Shri. Rahul Kardile, IAS, District Collector of Wardha  was present on the occasion and recollected the interactions with him.  Shri Avinash Kakade Trustee of the Ashram conducted the programme.

  False Social Media Propaganda against Gandhi : A Factual Analysis    Siby K. Joseph     A false propaganda against Gandhi is gaining momentum through social media in connection with the allowance for the upkeep of Gandhi as a State Prisoner in 1930 by the British Government. Usually this type of propaganda coincides with Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday or martyrdom.  I received   a WhatsApp message a couple of days back from a person associated with a Gandhian organization for quite a long time.  I noticed that this message was forwarded many times.  It is as follows: “Finally, that letter was found in national records. Workshop sessions on Gandhi and Community Living

Workshop on Community  Living   and   Gandhi’s vision of Ashram On  18 th of July 2024 two workshop sessions were organized on  the following themes. The first one was Gandhi and experiments in Community Living and second one was his vision of an ashram .It was held    at the premises of Library and Research Centre of Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan, Wardha. The workshop sessions were guided by Dr. Siby K. Joseph, Director of the Centre. It was conducted for a small group of enthusiastic young fellows from different parts of the country with varied interest and expertise . They are connected to Youth Alliance, New Delhi and Ritambhara, Kotagiri. The programme started with a brief introduction of participants. It was followed by a presentation of Dr. Siby K.
