Visit of Officer Trainees of IRMS
On October 9 and 10, 2025, a group of 85 Indian Revenue Management Service (IRMS) probationers from the National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT), Nagpur, visited Sevagram Ashram in Wardha as part of a five-day training programme. The visit was split into two groups, consisting of 50 and 35 officer trainees, respectively.
The trainees were given a guided tour of the Ashram’s heritage buildings, providing them with insights into the ashram's history and its ongoing activities. The visit was organized by the Planning & Research Division of NADT Nagpur, under the guidance of Ms. Jaya Lakhwani, Deputy Director (P&R)-1, and was facilitated by the Sri Jamnalal Bajaj Memorial Library and Research Centre for Gandhian Studies at the Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan.
During the visit, the probationers toured the Library and Research Centre, where they attended an interactive session and a presentation in the seminar hall. Dr. Siby K. Joseph, Director of the Centre, addressed the trainees, helping them gain a deeper understanding of the historical significance of Mahatma Gandhi’s Sevagram Ashram.
The accompanying staff from NADT Nagpur expressed their gratitude to the Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan for hosting the educational visit.
