Visit of Interns


Three interns from Lokbharti University for Rural Innovation in Sanosara, Gujarat, visited Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan in Wardha, Maharashtra, as part of their internship on Natural Farming and marketing on January 10,2025.The interns, Sujal K. Chauhan, Hiren K. Pathar, and Srushti N. Metaliya, are pursuing B.Voc in Natural Farming.


During their visit, they explored the Ashram's natural farming fields, library, and Research Centre for Gandhian Studies of Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan. Dr. Siby K. Joseph, Director of the Centre, guided them and provided  insights on the topic and information about institutions and organizations working on natural farming in Wardha and Maharashtra.


 

The visit was facilitated by the university's  faculty  Harpalsinh Vala of Natural Farming Department and Dr. Rajendra Khimani, Provost of the university. The interns gained  knowledge about natural farming experiments in the district, which would contribute to their successful completion of their intership.
Also some relevant material related to Agriculture and Sustainable Development was shared to them.

  False Social Media Propaganda against Gandhi : A Factual Analysis    Siby K. Joseph     A false propaganda against Gandhi is gaining momentum through social media in connection with the allowance for the upkeep of Gandhi as a State Prisoner in 1930 by the British Government. Workshop sessions on Gandhi and Community Living

Workshop on Community  Living   and   Gandhi’s vision of Ashram On  18 th of July 2024 two workshop sessions were organized on  the following themes. The first one was Gandhi and experiments in Community Living and second one was his vision of an ashram .It was held    at the premises of Library and Research Centre of Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan, Wardha. The workshop sessions were guided by Dr. Siby K. Joseph, Director of the Centre. It was conducted for a small group of enthusiastic young fellows from different parts of the country with varied interest and expertise . They are connected to Youth Alliance, New Delhi and Ritambhara, Kotagiri. The programme started with a brief introduction of participants. It was followed by a presentation of Dr. Siby K.
