Book Release Function

 

Release of the book'Ahimsa Ki Kavita' 

The edited book 'Ahimsa Ki Kavita' focusing on the 'Bhoodan Movement' started by Acharya Vinoba Bhave (compilation of poems and songs) was re;leased  on September 25, 2024 .The book release function was done on the occasion of Gandhi Darshan Camp of  Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan at Sri Jamnalal Bajaj Memorial Library and Research Center for Gandhian Studies,  This book h was  edited by researcher  scholar Vivek Kumar Shaw and assistant professor Lilu Kumari. In this book, poems of famous and regional writers of the era of Bhoodan movement have been collected from various newspapers and magazines. Apart from this, this book also includes an interview with Gautam Bajaj, who was associated with Vinoba ji in the Bhoodan movement. During the book release function in this camp, Dr Vijay Idalabadkar, Marathi writer Dr. Ravindra R.P., Secretary of Sevagram Ashram, Shri  Vijay Tambe, Director of Sri Jamnalal Bajaj Memorial Library and Research Center for Gandhian Studies Dr.  Siby K. Joseph, Adv. Trupti Zilape , Coordinator et al . were present.

  False Social Media Propaganda against Gandhi : A Factual Analysis    Siby K. Joseph     A false propaganda against Gandhi is gaining momentum through social media in connection with the allowance for the upkeep of Gandhi as a State Prisoner in 1930 by the British Government. Usually this type of propaganda coincides with Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday or martyrdom.  I received   a WhatsApp message a couple of days back from a person associated with a Gandhian organization for quite a long time.  I noticed that this message was forwarded many times.  It is as follows: “Finally, that letter was found in national records. Workshop sessions on Gandhi and Community Living

Workshop on Community  Living   and   Gandhi’s vision of Ashram On  18 th of July 2024 two workshop sessions were organized on  the following themes. The first one was Gandhi and experiments in Community Living and second one was his vision of an ashram .It was held    at the premises of Library and Research Centre of Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan, Wardha. The workshop sessions were guided by Dr. Siby K. Joseph, Director of the Centre. It was conducted for a small group of enthusiastic young fellows from different parts of the country with varied interest and expertise . They are connected to Youth Alliance, New Delhi and Ritambhara, Kotagiri. The programme started with a brief introduction of participants. It was followed by a presentation of Dr. Siby K.
