Participation in  National Seminar, Discussions  and  Dialogues

Dr. Siby K. Joseph , Director, Sri Jamnalal Bajaj Memorial Library and Research Centre  for Gandhian Studies (JBMLRCGS) of Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan, Wardha  went on a  brief tour to Kerala in the first week of December 2023 . During the visit, he held discussions with faculty/ research scholars   with a number of   themes  like contemporary challenges to peace,  J. C. Kumarappa vision of  economy,  and Gandhi and Feminism etc. His tour was mainly in connection with a  National Seminar. He was invited by the Department of Philosophy, Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam as a Resource Person for a special talk on ‘Gandhi as a Philosopher: Convergence of East and West’ in  the  Two Day National Seminar on Convergence in Philosophy’  held on 5th and 6th December 2023 .



  

Dr. Jijo Panjikkaran, Head, Department of Philosophy, Maharaja’s College,  Ernakulam welcomed him and Prof. Vinodkumar Kallolickal, Professor of History, presided over the session.  Dr. Siby K. Joseph addressed the audience  on the  uniqueness of Gandhi as a Philosopher in whom we can  synthesis and  convergence of Eastern  and Western ideas . His lecture was followed by  a discussion on the presentationShri Nobel P.S Coordinator of the Seminar thanked him  for  his erudite lecture.








 Later he  had exchanges with some members and  Board of Trustees of Probhodha Trust, Kochi  and visited  Probodha Bhavan . Shri D. D. Naveenkumar, Secretary of  Probhodha Trust, Kochi   presented a  copy of the book  ദുബായ് ഒരു അത്ഭുത ലോകം ( Dubai: A Wonderland) written by Aniyan Thalayattupalli. He also visited the pavilion of  26 th Kochi International Book  festival at Ernakulam. He saw the books of Gandhian  thought at the the stall run by  Probhodha Trust.  The recent books edited and written  by Dr. Siby K. Joseph  were  also available in the stall no. 40 of the trust.
