Orientation Programme of Medical students concluded at Sevagram

 As in previous years, the Orientation camp of newly admitted students of Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram was held at the premises of the ashram  from October 26  to  November 8, 2023 . As in the previous years, Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan had undertaken the responsibility of organizing classes on Gandhian Thought. The objective of this orientation camp is to acquaint the students with the life and work of Mahatma Gandhi and also his approach in matters relating to health. Sri Jamnalal Bajaj Memorial Library Research Centre for Gandhian Studies of Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan was  instrumental in arranging the classes on Gandhian thought .



 Some of the important themes covered in this programme include  Fundamentals of Gandhi ,Understanding Gandhiji : Predicaments and Ways Out ,  Why Khadi ? , Gandhi’s approach to Science and Technology, Correlating Scientific Principles with Gandhian Thought,  Gandhi’s approach to health, Amhi Amchya Arogyasathi (We for Our Health) Experiment based on Gandhian Principles Experimentation in Health and related aspects in villages, Medical Ethics –A Gandhian Perspective,Sarvodaya Approach to health and importance of lifestyle , Ayurveda  and Holistic approach to health.
