Follow-up  Meet of Gandhi Collective Trainees  of Sevagram Ashram  at Payyanur ,Kannur

The meeting of the two groups  of Gandhian Collective who attended the training programmes at Sevagram  Ashram was held  at Payyanur Arogyaniketan on October 15,2023.About 60 people participated in two Sevagram training programmes, but only 20 could participate in the  gathering. The programme started  with sharing of experience in Sevagram ashram.They explained  how the  visit to Sevagram  influenced their own thoughts and very  attitude towards life .




In the  ensuing discussions a number of issues came up   for deliberation including Ambedkar-Gandhi debates. The meeting was also able to arrive at preliminary understandings on practical action on a few matters.




 



Dissemination of Gandhian Ideas and action Programme

The first was the creation of a propaganda programme with Suresh Kattilangadi's Gandhi pictures and  quotes collection   and audio presentation Ente Jivita Katha  (The Story of My Life) of .  Mahatma Gandhi .


  





Secondly it was agreed to organize in Payyanur on Oct. 30 ,2023  a protest meeting against the government action of confiscation of land and destruction  of heritage buildings of Sarva Seva Sangh Varanasi .It will be organized in collaboration with Sarvodaya Mandalam and Ekta Parishad.  To discuss its details with the leaders of the  above mentioned  organizations it was decided to organise  an online meeting. The third point is the next meeting. It was decided to hold it in Konnakkad, a hilly village in Kasaragod district in January 2024.
