Cycle Yatra concludes at Kashmir

 A Cycle Yatra  to Reduce Carbon Footprint  and Save the Earth  concludes at Kashmir




The  cycle   journey   which  was flagged off from Bodhi Centre,  Alathur, Palakkad district of Kerala on July 9 reached   the final destination   Srinagar on 25 August , 2023.  The Message of cycle journey was   “Lesser Carbon  Greener  the  World” The cyclists were received at  Srinagar Ghat No. 15.  Shri Abdul Nazeer  from Kerala, an air force veteran  currently working in the  State Bank of India as a Deputy Manager  visualized this journey and he was   accompanied by   Shri Muralidharan  from   Bodhi Alathur,  a craftsman  .  Shri Naveen, a B.Sc. computer science graduate,  and trainer of Kerala's indigenous martial art Kalaripayattu joined  both of them  from Bangalore.   

 




 

A reception  for the cyclists was given at the Seminar hall of Library and Research Centre  for  Gandhian Studies of Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan  on July 24, 2023 afternoon. On the way  Shri Abdul Nazeer  was hospitalized at Jalandhar due to dengue. He said “ Doing 3500 kms at this age itself is a bonus. I enjoyed my journey more than the destination.”  However, the rest of the members continued the journey and reached the final destination.





Shri Naveen while concluding the journey at Srinagar stated that   they were missing the company of Shri Abdul Nazeer. He expressed thanks to all those who assisted in this mission. Reaching Srinagar was a proud moment for them with a noble mission. He further announced that they will undertake a similar journey   in 14 countries with the same motto in 2028.
