Dr.Yaha Wardak's visit to Sevagram Ashram

 As Scholar in Search of Roots of Badshah Khan at Sevagram / Wardha
 





Dr. Yahya Wardak is an Afghan born person living in Bonn Germany.He had his school education in Afghanistan and higher education in the field of General Medicine in Czechoslovakia.  Dr. Yaha Wardak (MD, DCH & TM, Berlin) was an official of the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine in Hamburg and later joined InWEnt(GIZ) in Boon.  He was an advisor at the Ministry of Higher Education in Kabul and has published 399 text books and distributed them to universities of Afghanistan.

 


 


 

                                     



He is a scholar working on Badshah Khan and has a number of publications including quotations of Badshah Khan in Pashto, Dari English and German and other works.  It can be downloaded free of cost from: https://ecampus-afghanistan.org/literary-books/




                                   





 He was on a tour to India and visited Sevagram Ashram with a group of German people. During this period, he came to the Ashram on February 20, 2025 for a personal visit.   He came to the Library and Research Centre of the Ashram and held discussions with Dr. Siby K. Joseph, Director of the Centre.  He explored the heritage buildings of the Ashram and interviewed Shri Vijay Tambe, Secretary Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan about Badshah Khan and his association with the Ashram.

 



                                                            



                                                                




He presented some books  on Badshah Khan to the library and discussed some research proposals with the Director of the Centre . It includes a  pictorial book on Mahatma Gandhi and Badshah Khan, Badshah Khan’s association with Wardha/ Sevagram and bibliography of Badshah Khan literature in various languages.  The Director whole heartedly extended the support to the same and agreed to work on it.





                                 




Dr. Yaha Wardak   participated in the evening prayer and made a short video of the Sevagram Ashram.
