Dr.Yaha Wardak's visit to Sevagram Ashram

 As Scholar in Search of Roots of Badshah Khan at Sevagram / Wardha
 





Dr. Yahya Wardak is an Afghan born person living in Bonn Germany.He had his school education in Afghanistan and higher education in the field of General Medicine in Czechoslovakia.  Dr. Yaha Wardak (MD, DCH & TM, Berlin) was an official of the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine in Hamburg and later joined InWEnt(GIZ) in Boon.  He was an advisor at the Ministry of Higher Education in Kabul and has published 399 text books and distributed them to universities of Afghanistan.

 


 


 

                                     



He is a scholar working on Badshah Khan and has a number of publications including quotations of Badshah Khan in Pashto, Dari English and German and other works.  It can be downloaded free of cost from: https://ecampus-afghanistan.org/literary-books/




                                   





 He was on a tour to India and visited Sevagram Ashram with a group of German people. During this period, he came to the Ashram on February 20, 2025 for a personal visit.   He came to the Library and Research Centre of the Ashram and held discussions with Dr. Siby K. Joseph, Director of the Centre.  He explored the heritage buildings of the Ashram and interviewed Shri Vijay Tambe, Secretary Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan about Badshah Khan and his association with the Ashram.

 



                                                            



                                                                




He presented some books  on Badshah Khan to the library and discussed some research proposals with the Director of the Centre . It includes a  pictorial book on Mahatma Gandhi and Badshah Khan, Badshah Khan’s association with Wardha/ Sevagram and bibliography of Badshah Khan literature in various languages.  The Director whole heartedly extended the support to the same and agreed to work on it.





                                 




Dr. Yaha Wardak   participated in the evening prayer and made a short video of the Sevagram Ashram.

  False Social Media Propaganda against Gandhi : A Factual Analysis    Siby K. Joseph     A false propaganda against Gandhi is gaining momentum through social media in connection with the allowance for the upkeep of Gandhi as a State Prisoner in 1930 by the British Government. Workshop sessions on Gandhi and Community Living

Workshop on Community  Living   and   Gandhi’s vision of Ashram On  18 th of July 2024 two workshop sessions were organized on  the following themes. The first one was Gandhi and experiments in Community Living and second one was his vision of an ashram .It was held    at the premises of Library and Research Centre of Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan, Wardha. The workshop sessions were guided by Dr. Siby K. Joseph, Director of the Centre. It was conducted for a small group of enthusiastic young fellows from different parts of the country with varied interest and expertise . They are connected to Youth Alliance, New Delhi and Ritambhara, Kotagiri. The programme started with a brief introduction of participants. It was followed by a presentation of Dr. Siby K.
